If your schedule permits, Henniker offers some mid-week treasures.  Come stay at Henniker House on a Tuesday in the summer and enjoy live music at the Gazebo.

Stay over Wednesday to visit the farmers’ market and attend a yoga class – we’ll pay the class fee for one Henniker House guest per mid-week stay.

"Crafts and Henniker House go so well together"
 - KH Brattleboro, VT

We love handcrafts and have hosted creative folks who attend courses at The Fiber Studio and Quilted Threads. Please mention the course you’re attending when you book for the applicable discount

A couple of quilting goddesses, who frequent the Strip Club at Quilted Threads, have booked the whole house for a weekend a couple of times now. Do you have a group who would like to do the same?

"Even if you don’t craft,
a girls weekend is always fun!"

We have set the date for the next workshop with Dan Dustin: March 12 - 15 2009.  Dan's artistry is part of the permanent collection at the Currier Museum in Manchester and he shows annually at the League of NH Craftsman in Sunapee.  His workshops here at Henniker House are hands on carving sessions sprinkled with good old Yankee story telling.  Your stay includes 3 nights lodging, 3 breakfasts, 2 lunches and two and a half days of carving.  The package price is $250 per person over the applicable room rate.  Please call for more information.

Come back to Henniker House and unwind with the healing touch of Lou Schuler LMT with an in-room therapeutic massage.

The second night of a mid-week stay may
qualify for a discount - please inquire
when you book.

There's nothing better than being outdoors and there's no better way to spend time outdoors in the winter than skiing with family and friends. Pats Peak is less than 3 miles from Henniker House and Phil is their unofficial ambassador.

Mid-week skiing is some of the best; tickets at a ski & stay rate that is about half of the weekend price and the mountain is not as crowded. Weekend ski & stay packages are also available with lift tickets at a 30% discount.

Maple sugar - Nature's reward for enduring New Hampshire's winter.  The Indians called it 'sinzibukwud'.  In colonial times there was a plan to make America self-sufficient in sugar production by using maple sugar.  You can see maple syrup made the old-fashioned way and taste some treats when you come to Henniker House in March 2009. Our weekend package includes a mapped, self guided tour of neighboring sugar houses, a goodie basket and a weather dependant sleigh ride.  The guide also includes suggestions for antiquing, art galleries and shopping, and areas for snow shoeing and X-C skiing.

$39 per couple above room rate. Children are welcome for an additional $10 per child for the package.  Little girls especially will love the doll collection at Winnie's Little World at the Allen Acres Maple Grove farm - exclusive provider of maple syrup to Henniker House. Call now for best availability!

Also included in your two night package will be Friday evening hors d’oeuvres, hearty country breakfasts both mornings, directions to the Faire, a dinner discount to Daniel’s restaurant, and an optional self guided tour of Hillsborough’s old stone bridges, antique shops and the Franklin Pierce Homestead.
